In the case of The City, some problems have been addressed, mainly the issues with framerates and contact dunks have been discovered. However, there are more things to do, for example, the Mamba Mentality badge is no working properly. At least, it appears that 2K Sports is making its way through a list of early issues. They recognize that one of the most important areas is the MyNBA mode. Sadly, up to now, the mode has been plagued with crashes when using custom team designs, rosters, and while scrolling through user-created rosters on the edit screen. For example, the community has expressed its discontent with the issue that produces the next crash. If you upload custom team designs, which is one of the absolute coolest features in any sports game, the next-gen version of NBA 2K21 experiences insanely long delays, or it can crash completely. The reality is that some of the issues might have to be addressed for a couple of updates. Crashes will and should take priority, but there is also a problem with player progression. If you run a MyNBA with friends, young star players experience depreciating ratings early in their careers, which is the opposite of what should be happening in a franchise mode. The next 2K Sports patch could be coming as soon as this week, so let’s hope it stamps out those mode-ruining issues with MyNBA. In the case of PS5 bugs and crashes, you can report it if it occurs while you were playing the MyNBA mode. Usually, when this kind of crash takes place, you see a screen that asks if you’d like to report the crash. Users should always include their PSN ID in the comments. Per 2K, this allows them to retrieve that specific crash dump from Sony so that they can directly debug the problem. These kinds of actions give to 2K a better path toward fixing the exact issue the user has experienced.
